Terms of Use
Last updated: July 6, 2026
Agreement
By using the Santa Margarita Community Hall website (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Use. The Site is hosted and operated by the Santa Margarita Lions Club for the benefit of the Santa Margarita Community Hall. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Website use
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Attempt to interfere with the Site's operation or security
- Use automated tools to scrape, overload, or abuse the Site
- Use the Site to harass others or violate applicable law
We may suspend or restrict access if we believe these Terms have been violated.
Hall rental requests
The Site allows you to check availability and submit a booking request. Important points about rentals:
- Submitting a request does not guarantee a reservation. Dates shown as available may change before a request is reviewed.
- A requested date may be marked as pending while a booking manager reviews it. This does not guarantee that the requested hours are available.
- Current rental fees, rules, and payment arrangements are confirmed directly with the booking manager.
- Hall rental payments are not collected through this website. Any required fees or refunds are handled offline according to club policies communicated at confirmation.
- Renters are responsible for complying with hall rules, applicable laws, noise and occupancy limits, cleanup requirements, and any conditions set at confirmation.
- The club may cancel or reschedule confirmed bookings in extraordinary circumstances (for example, safety, maintenance, or emergency closure), with reasonable notice when possible.
For rental questions, email info@santamargaritacommunityhall.com.
Community sponsorships
Local businesses may support the hall through optional community sponsorships. Sponsorship acknowledgements on the Site are a thank-you to supporting businesses and are not paid advertising. Online sponsorship payments are not currently enabled; sponsors can send an inquiry and a Lions Club volunteer will follow up.
We may decline, modify, or remove sponsor listings that are inconsistent with club values, inaccurate, or no longer active.
Membership inquiries
Information submitted through the membership inquiry form is used so Lions Club members can respond. Submitting an inquiry does not create membership or any obligation on either side.
Events calendar
Public events listed on the Site are provided for community information. Event details (time, location, admission, and accessibility) may change. Please contact the club or event organizer if you need the latest information.
Content and intellectual property
Text, photos, logos, and other materials on the Site are owned by the Santa Margarita Lions Club or used with permission, except for third-party sponsor logos and links provided by sponsors. You may not copy, reproduce, or republish Site content for commercial use without written permission.
Disclaimer
The Site and its content are provided “as is” for general information. We strive to keep availability, pricing, and event information accurate but do not warrant that the Site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or always up to date.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Santa Margarita Lions Club and its volunteers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or reliance on information posted here. Our total liability for any claim related to the Site is limited to the amount you paid us through the Site, if any, in the twelve months before the claim (typically zero for booking requests).
Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect changes. Your continued use of the Site after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be brought in San Luis Obispo County, California, unless otherwise required by law.
